Skeelz Copyright & Intellectual Property Notice-and-Takedown Policy
How to report copyright, trademark, and other IP concerns.
Effective date: September 18, 2026 • Version: 2026-09-18
Skeelz respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. This Policy explains how to report content on Skeelz that you believe infringes copyright, trademark, or related rights. It is a general notice-and-takedown process and is not a representation that Skeelz has registered a U.S. DMCA designated agent.
1. Content covered
Reports may concern Provider portfolio images, profile text, logos, project or quote materials, reviews, uploaded images, or other User Content displayed or transmitted through the Platform.
2. Copyright complaint
Send a written complaint to support@skeelz.ca with the subject “Intellectual Property Complaint” and include:
- Your full name and reliable contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work or other protected material you claim is infringed.
- The URL, profile, message, project, screenshot, or other information reasonably sufficient for Skeelz to locate the challenged content.
- A short explanation of your rights in the material and why you believe the Skeelz content is unauthorized.
- A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for the rights holder.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
3. Trademark and impersonation complaints
For trademark, business-name, logo, or impersonation complaints, identify the mark or identity, the jurisdiction or registration if applicable, the challenged use, and why the use is likely unauthorized or misleading. Skeelz may ask for documentation of ownership or authority.
4. Skeelz response
Skeelz may remove, disable, limit, preserve, or investigate challenged content where appropriate, request additional information, notify the user who submitted the content, or decline action where the complaint is incomplete, abusive, or does not establish a reasonable basis for action. Skeelz may preserve records where necessary for legal claims or repeat-infringer enforcement.
5. Response by the user who posted the content
A user who believes content was removed by mistake may contact Skeelz with an explanation and evidence of ownership, licence, authorization, fair dealing/fair use, or other lawful basis. Skeelz may restore content where appropriate and legally permitted but is not required to adjudicate complex ownership disputes.
6. Repeat or serious infringement
Skeelz may suspend or terminate users who repeatedly or knowingly infringe intellectual property rights, submit fraudulent rights complaints, or use the complaint process to harass others.
7. Legal rights
This process does not replace legal remedies available to rights holders or users. Skeelz may comply with valid court orders, subpoenas, statutory notices, or other lawful process. If Skeelz expands materially into the United States and intends to rely on U.S. DMCA safe-harbour procedures, it should register and publish a compliant designated agent before representing that this Policy is a DMCA process.
